John Underwood

A student at Marquette University, John Underwood is working toward a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance. Among his accomplishments at the university, John Underwood earned the Pere Marquette Scholarship for academic excellence, and he was nominated by his coaches and fellow teammates to join the Student-Athlete Leadership Institute, a program that furnishes students with leadership training as well as offers them the opportunity to serve as a voice for their fellow classmates. Additionally, he competes on the Marquette Golden Eagles lacrosse team and the USA West Lacrosse team, and with the latter group, he went on to play in the World Tournament Games in Israel.

John Underwood also earned multiple distinctions as a high school student. At IMG Academy, he held a seat on the Student-Athlete Advisory Council and made the National Society of High School Scholars for academic achievement in English. While in high school, Mr. Underwood served as a board member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation in the Greater Bay Area. His history with the nonprofit organization goes all the way back to the fourth grade, when he raised $40,000 for the charity and received its Hero Award.
